Our Commitment to Accessibility

MHD App is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to ensure compliance with upcoming German accessibility regulations (Barrierefreiheitsanforderungsgesetz - BFSG).

Our goal is to make our application accessible to all users, regardless of their abilities or disabilities, and to provide an inclusive digital experience that lets everyone keep reliable track of their products’ shelf life.

Accessibility Standards

We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards and comply with the European Accessibility Act (EAA) and German accessibility requirements:

Accessibility Features

Our application includes the following accessibility features:

  • Keyboard navigation support for all interactive elements
  • ARIA markup to support screen readers and other assistive technologies (not yet externally audited)
  • High contrast color schemes and dark mode support
  • Scalable text and responsive design for different screen sizes
  • Alternative text for images and visual content
  • Clear and consistent navigation structure
  • Focus indicators for keyboard users
  • Form labels and error messages for assistive technologies

Ongoing Improvements

We continuously improve accessibility as the application evolves. No external audit has been carried out so far.

We check new features for keyboard operability and sufficient contrast.

Accessibility Statement

This statement applies to the MHD App web application. No mobile app is offered.

Compliance Status: Partially conformant. We are guided by WCAG 2.1 Level AA and by the requirements of the BFSG and EN 301 549, but the application has not yet been externally audited. Some areas may not yet meet the criteria.
